It’s too close. I spent $80 going to and from a lake today. Fun fishing.

Some stations already have it at 399.9 for 87 octane.

Planning to hit the lake next week. Got my syphon kit so I can hit the trucks at the ramp for my return trip gas.

Too damn high! I drive a base [censored] level truck....couldnt get it under $60 these last few months, not looking forward to tonight/tomorrows fill up at $3.89/gallon. Thanks a lot Joe Byron!

I dont fish much so still gonna fish the same amount....but might not stop and spend the customary extra $30 on del taco, beer, corn nuts and other drink/snacks Id always get at a local gas station. Id spend that money just to spend it before.....just gonna drive my [censored] home after fishing now though.

I can stomach the unleaded price, diesel is what’s insane. (Unless unleaded went up again today, which it probably did) bang

This^ It cost me almost $150 to fill up my dually now. We are currently out east, diesel is $4.39 a gallon today.

F550 gasser dually for work truck, gets about 7mpg. Filling up every other day and it was $1.85 when I got in that truck last November, $3.45 today. Its a cost that comes off my P&L and affects my bonus structure big time. I have always been about planning my route to do a big circle and will be pulling more loads of trailers, which take longer to load on my truck on the lowboy but its going to be necessity going forward.

I live close to river/lake so it does not bother me much. I remember right before I got married in 06 and fuel hovering around $4 and it cost me almost $200 for the average bay saltwater trip in the 22 Mako/F150 combo I had at the time. It honestly took a lot of the fun out of it for me for a while and I sold that boat. My son got a Nissan today, he is parking his 2000 Dodge 3500 ( diesel)

Memorial Day? Gas was $3.29 last weekend in Mt Vernon. Today it is $3.79. That's a 50 cent jump in a WEEK. We'll be at $4.50 by the end of April if not sooner. The ONLY way this gets under control is if Biden's approval rating dips under 30%. At that point the "moderate faction" of the Democratic Party will step up and say no more in an attempt to salvage what's left of the 2022 mid terms. It's truly pathetic politics have an impact on our fishing.

I have bulk clear and red diesel tanks I use to fill up the vehicles and equipment, so my driving fuel cost is still under $3.00 gallon. However I filled up the boat today and it was $3.59 a gallon. It took right at $100 to top it off. I don't have time to fish as much as I want, but I suppose that's actually a good thing right now because the fuel prices would sure suck a whole lot of fun out of it.

“How high will gas get”? I believe we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Hate to be political on a fishing forum but hard not to with the OP’s question. With the federal gov under this administration we went from completely independent of imported oil (actually selling off excess reserves) to being dependent on foreign oil again in not much over a year. Only my opinion but I believe we haven’t seen anything yet as to how bad inflation is going to get. That snowball has just started rolling down a really long hill. Just my opinion and I could not wish more that I’m wrong. We pray for the USA. “LETS GO BRANDON”.

Thankfully I have 65 gallons of diesel in the truck and the ramp is only 1/4 mile away from the house. That said, there is still no excuse for the nonsense brought on by the current administration.

I'm probably going to dump 15 to 20 gallons of fuel out of my starboard tank on my bug and refuel it with some Sea Foam. When I got my Skeeter both tanks were nearly empty, I started adding fuel to both tanks every time I'd fuel up splitting $40 between the two until I got them full. Apparently, the boat was run off the port side only because when I run off that tank my boat runs fine, if I switch over to the starboard tank my SHO runs awful. I had it on Fork yesterday and tried to run off the starboard tank and she didn't like it one bit, so I switched back and we ran fine the rest of the day. That's going to be expensive with gas prices being what they are. Anybody know where I can dispose of this old fuel in northeast Texas legally?
