You can almost always count on Whiting while beach fishing.

I'm headed down to surfside southeast of Galveston. I'm going to attempt to fish the beach with bottom rigged shrimp and then go across street to Christmas Bay and wade with lures. I'll report back with any luck. I'll have a 7 and 10 year old in tow so keep that in mind lol. Safe travels!

Not a lot of bank fishing options at Xmas.
If you have P/U or SUV try San Luis Pass
Or Surfside & Quintana jetties.

Saw the title "March off the Beach" and thought we were having a beach parade.

Whiting are great all around fish ! You can filet them up as long as you don't let them die and sit for to long. They are ok when cooked in Cornmeal and salt.

I normally cut them up and use them as cut bait.
