The family is going to Galveston in July. I need recommendations for a type of trip with two kids and guides to use. The wife and I will go out without the kids and want to go deep sea fishing as well. Recommended guides for that trip needed also. Thanks in advance.

For the bay trip, Capt. Steve Grem is the only option to even consider. Super nice dude and a great guide! He's on this site sometimes going by "sgrem" Capt. Steve Grem.... 713-819-6232 www.gowithgrem.com

Better to go Deep Sea out of Freeport. Cowboy charters is good.
I don’t do the head boat thing for saltwater. There are a few options there. 4 hr ride out, 3 to 4 hr fishing, 4 hour ride back in. It my thing a all. Some really seem to enjoy it.

I would be leery of any guide who posts website photos of sheep head or black drum. Trout and Reds are the main target. The others are good to eat but aren’t what you are paying a guide to catch.
However when taking kids along having a lot of bites and a nice boat with a lot of room are huge. Kids don’t care what they catch as long as they catch something.

Kids and I go out of Freeport with Olivia J Charter. Usually 4-6 to a boat. You can share with another family to keep the expense down or go alone. http://www.oliviajcharters.com/ ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-36211-134045-bella_red.jpg)
