Went fishing yesterday morning. Got to the ramp at RP at about 6:15, only a small handful of trailers in the parking lot. Started out S of RP, marked a lot of fish but no takers. Headed toward the dam. Found a small boat show. Again, marked tons of fish but no takers. Headed for the jetty...same story. Back to S of RP...nothing. Headed for the 30 bridge E of RP, caught one lousy sandy and then a menacing storm was approaching. Back at the ramp, went to winch up my boat and my expensive phone falls out of my shirt pocket...ruined.
Anyone else have better luck than me?

I was out on tuesday evening after the rain quit and went south to RC area and found a nice school of fish in 30' of water--droped a shad down and started to set up a secound pole and before I got it in a holder - my first poles tip was in the water? Thought I was snaged for a secound till I heard the line peeling out--Reeled in after a bit of a battle--24" hybrid--no clue how much it weighed- scales broke- but as soon as I released it my other pole was trying to exit the boat!- cuaght a 22" hybrid--same deal? So I thought holly cow--this is going to be good? Then nothing--one small sandy--8" so after a hour--I moved down to the dam area--not much there-marked a few fish but nothing. Went back to the first spot and fished for a while and nothing--one other boat was close by and they cuaght a couple --I was getting ready to pack it up and I saw some surface action between the boats and thru a topwater--one hit but missed it--thur out a slap and tryed Johns tip of burning and dropping and boom-- caught two nice 17-18" hybrids--started to get dark so I called it quits--Right know its a hit and miss type thing?? I quess__Rick

Went out on Tuesday evening around 6:30pm and Wednesday morning around 6:00am. Caught about 40 total, with only a handful of good size ones, and one nice sized crappie. Marked tons of fish and tried jigging some spoons/ slabs and had no luck. Caught most of them around the stumps with plugs, torpedoes and spoons on top. I think this weather pattern is having an impact on the fish. The usual spots are not producing, so went to my winter spots and did pretty good. Things should go back to normal in a week or two, that is, if the rain ever stops. I saw on the weather report that the high temp for a week from Saturday is only going to be 77 degrees. I hope they are wrong.

RC is in the SE corner of the lake. Not sure about the Heath ramp...never used it.

The Heath ramp about 3 miles south southeast of RP. Just north of Yankee Creek.
