I have a Helix 9 on my cat, for some reason with Lake Master plus it does not show the creek channels like it does on my Helix 10 with the same chip. Is this a setting some place?

Are you sure you have selected LakeMaster, and not the Basemap? You should be using ContourXD

There are two settings for level of detail, one in the Chart menu and one in HBCharts...

The detail settings in particular are discussed starting on page 142 of the HELIX online manual:
