Found a ramp open in Hidden Cove and the Lake was empty for a Holiday. Flat water and no wind made for really tough fishing. Couldn't find any schoolies and tried all the usual places but only had one undersized Hybrid for the day.Saw lots of floating logs so be careful..

Guess Rodman didn't run anyone over today. OK that was low.

I was fortunate enough to make it out with California Jeff for a few hours of fishing early morning on the 4th. We found some schoolies early around the Hackberry and White house area. They would surface only for a few minutes at a time. The only good thing about the dead calm water was that is was easy to spot the schooling activity.
We marked lots of fish on several other spots but they had lock jaw.
We ended the day with catching several undersized sandies and 3 drum.
Lots of trash and timber in the water so be careful.
Thanks Jeff for the trip.
Tight lines to all!
