anyone here ever had to jump off li-on trolling motor battery to start the boat?

wondering if it is a good or bad idea due to amp draw to start.

Won’t work unless it’s a starter rated lithium. You could leave the jumpers hooked to the starting battery and hope it transfer’s enough voltage to let the regular cranker fire over.

It is a good reason to go with the 100 ah cranking rated lithiums on the TM vs the 50’s; but more $$$ obviously.

I bought one of these for my boat but I carry it in my truck too. Works great! Used it on my sister's car and boom, it started right up.

Just noticed these were out of stock but they do have others available. Just tray to match the specs.

If you can afford lithium why not have a 2nd cranker in the boat?

taking the chance that the durability is what they advertise on the ionics, 11 yr. warranty.
next will be a 125 ah start battery, not worried about the deka I have now as it is a grp24 agm and only 3 yrs. old

weight loss is main reason to change out.
