 Fishing skinny water 2-16-22

We drove down to the river and fished off the bank today. Since it so windy we fished with an 1/8 oz jig on 6lb line. My first cast I hooked on to a toad. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/02/full-104233-128821-20220216_164513.jpg) How does that saying go, " if you catch a fish on your first cast you won't catch a fish the rest of the day". Not true. A few cast later I caught another big momma but not as big. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/02/full-104233-128822-20220216_170619.jpg) We ended up with 6 lmb from skinny water. All caught on JIGLYF jigs and released to swim another day.

Wow!!! Great catch. Doesn't look like the water is deep enough to hold bass that big. But I always knew you could catch fish out of ditch
