Has anyone seen any of the SCSFW wake baits at Academy? They have disappeared off the shelves down here in the Houston area. The body is about 2-3/8" long and are listed as diving 0 - 1". I am not looking for this particular color; just wanted to post a picture of the lure.

I get most of my tackle off of eBay.

This may be what you are looking for:

Thats interesting. I am a tackle junky and have never seen that bait before despite being in Academy 2-3 times a week. Not sure if they just never hit the shelves here in DFW or I just completly over looked them all this time. I will have to look next time I am there.

Haven’t seen those but I’ll be looking for them now! Everything I’ve bought in that line has proven to be good in terms of durability, action, etc. i’m glad to know these are out there because I’ve been fishing this style of bait for almost 20 years going back to the ol’ Mann’s baby one minus crank bait with great success. I picked up some of the sixth sense movement 80 wake baits for the coast and have tried them around here but generally they’re just a little too big. So I’ll take a look at those at Academy to get a gauge on how big they are, but those old baby one minus style lures are just about the right size that seems like they’ll work anywhere.

I was in the Conroe location last week and was floored how much stuff they had compared to years ago-They have plenty of those. The tourney Redfish guys keep that bait a secret for a reason. I’ve had some great action on those right before the post spawn begins in shallow water near beds. Awesome little waker.

They have a bunch in College Station. I have been using them in shallow ponds all winter and it's been a great producer!

Yes, they are great for redfish! Lately, this lure has been my go-to for bass, too. I am going to go by the Conroe store tomorrow and see if they are still there.

I went to the Conroe store this afternoon and found several. I bought five chartreuse/black back and five chartreuse/blue back. I left some for the next guy.

Well that is bad. I have only had a response like that from eBay a few times in over a decade. I hope you are able to find them somewhere. I would still search eBay occasionally and you will probably find some.

Those two lures that were supposed to be unavailable showed up today. Oh well; I have plenty of them now.
