I can start with who NOT EVER to take it to:
Blackbirds.
Capt. Mac
Customer brought in a "rebuilt" motor from Blackbird, not one gasket. Nothing but orange pookie.
Another brought in "rebuilt" at Capt Mac, two cylinders had no piston rings. Not missing one, none.

With the pandemic and parts availability, it maybe quicker to go with a reman powerhead.
