I'm trying to put together a station area for tying flies, and I was hoping folks had ideas for how to store and organize the materials. This is what I'm currently doing, using a hanging file storage box:

This works okay, except that I pretty quickly quickly overran the amount of space available and now some of the materials are floating around in an adjacent cardboard box.

I'm thinking that I don't really need the fly tying materials to be portable. Has anyone tried those cabinets with lots of little plastic drawers in them? They look convenient, but I can't tell if they're a good shape for holding envelopes full of feathers, or lots of little hooks.

I currently use a few photo storage boxes like the one linked below. Most Craft/Hobby stores sell these for 4x6 and 5x7 sized photos. They won't hold large saddle hackle or bucktails, but are perfect for most other materials. I just organize by material type and label each smaller box with a sharpie. Makes it much easier to locate the materials I need.

@Chris_in_Louisiana that looks like a really useful storage container.
