I have multiple Curado 200Ks and one in particular just isn't as smooth as the others.
I am a fun fisherman and none of them have a ton of miles on them, its about 1-1/2yr old with regular oiling. I took the reel down, cleaned it, reoiled all of the bearings, cleaned the gear set and applied light coat of grease...the issue remains.
What's a logical next step? Should I look at replacing the gear set and main bearings? Should I buy an ultrasonic cleaner to really get any grit out of the reel?

Couple things I would check: Check the yoke…sometimes excessive wear can affect the main and pinion gear mesh Check the idle gear’s engagement with the worm gear Even though you re-oiled the bearings pull them and check to ensure each one turns smooth

I hadn't considered the yoke doing a whole lot of work for some reason. I suppose it controls the lateral movement of the pinion, keeping it from pulling itself into the ring gear? Any preferred places to buy parts for Shimano? Maybe I'll just swap out the pinion, yoke and pinion bearings to start with.

So the yoke keeps proper spacing between the pinion and the main gear and when the yoke gets wear it allows too much gap and the gears will grind…if the reel is not that old or hasn’t been fished a lot or abused it may not be this
You can get parts directly from shimano just look up the schematic or if you have and go to
fishshop.Shimano.com
And you can enter the part numbers there to order what you think you will need

You can pick up parts from Southwestern Parts in Dallas.
