Well I tried something new to me today. It moved the line out there but with no takers.
I took a lifesaver and connected it between my line and a big beach ball. I attached a inexpensive micro spinning reel directly to the beach ball and once the ball drifted to a empty spool. I waited for the lifesaver to melt and drop the bait. Then I retrieved the ball for another day.
I’ve tried the weak line method without much success on my lighter rigs.

Yes but I’m limited to what I can strap onto my wheelchair for now once my ankle improves and I can walk better I’m going to make a cart like the Beach cart I used in Florida.

It took about 30 minutes at current Lake temperature. Summer will probably be a different. The key for me is using the big beach ball that really moves with very little wind.
