1 lb. ground beef 80/20
1 onion diced
1 green bell pepper diced
1 can of diced tomatoes, well drained
1 egg
1/2 cup frozen shredded hash browns
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of ketchup

350* in oven or smoked !! 50 minutes
Combine all ingredients in a bowl except the ketchup...I like HUNTS...has NO additives unlike Heinz
After it's cooked, spread some ketchup on top of the loaf and let rest for 10 or so. Serves 4

I found something by watching Alton Brown cook. This may not work for you, since you are particular about your Catsup (Hunts is CATSUP, Heinz is KETCHUP).

Try mixing some Ground Cumin with the Ketchup before spreading on the meatloaf. Pretty tasty, with a little zing. Add during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

The word Catsup was the name given in Britain..Through the years that word transitioned into the word Ketchup in the U.S...hence the spelling. Both typically have the same ingredients but they do differ in ingredients. Spicy vs Sweeter

Close to my recipe minus the hash browns, but PLUS completely wrapped in bacon and then smoke it.. usually it's done when the bacon around it is nice and ready to eat. good stuff

Or Heinz chili sauce for a little extra zing.

My wife makes meatloaf patties. They cook much faster and the ketchup, mustard and brown sugar glaze is damn good.

Those should make great sandwiches!

A few years ago I started making fried meatloaf sandwiches and they are fantastic! Just take some thick slices of leftover ML, spray a large hot skillet with PAM, and crisp those slices up on both sizes. Serve on good soft bread with Mayo/Miracle Whip, crisp bacon and sharp cheddar cheese slice. ENJOY!
