Steez has magnesium frame, different spool, and more bearings

The Zillions suck. I honestly gave my Zillion TWS reels away. They felt like cheap tatula reels to me. Of the Daiwa reels that I’ve used, I have several of my old Steez 103 reels left. One of them I use every time on the lake. The rest are Shimanos of different levels.

Don’t bother with Zillions. Either get a Steez or the cheap tatula.

Well I've had both and some truth to what Steez said, except for my Daiwa Zillion Crazy Cranker....it's a great reel.

I have 6 Zillions that are 3 different year models and like all of them, none of them suck, so I guess I got some good ones. LOL The newest 4 are the SV model, pre-2021 model and two of the newest ones on the market. I have 6 of the older Steez 103 reels that my wife uses. They are all in the 6-1 gear ratio range and I like the faster gear ratio and that is what my Zillions are. All of mine are good reels, including my "cheap" Tatula SV and Elite models. I have several of all of them and like them all.

That would be a great addition to your new Dobbyns Xtacy rod.

I don't see how the new Zillion G could suck. One of the best reels I have used.

Steez over Zillion....but this is the first I've heard anyone bad mouth either reels. Zillion were the flagship for a while here in the US then walked in the Steez. At least that's what I remember in my world.

Never used a Steez but the Zillion is my nicest baitcaster.

I like both better than my Metanium.

I looked at the New Steez today but 730 is to steep for my blood. I have a Tatula elite and I love it. I can’t see that Steez being 3x times the reel the elite is. Double maybe but 730 is too rich for my blood unless it in guaranteed to catch at least 1 double digit fish lol.

I made it…and I stand by it. It is a tatula with a similar spool design to a Steez and heavier than it should be. The Zaion “plastic” [censored] breaks easily. It’s not that it’s REALLY that bad, if it retailed for around half of what it does, it could be worth the money.

Too bad.

You could try a Shimano Chronarch and you’d really like it. About the same price as a Zillion, but a much better reel.

I've owned several Chronarchs and like the Zillion better.

Your comment about the Zillion "it is a tatula with a similar spool design to a Steez"? The Zillion came out many years before the Tatula.
Mine are all well over 10 years old.
