I'm not familiar with that whisky before, but I like bourbon. Where did you get it?

Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

Picked it up at my local Specs. It’s kinda expensive, so they keep it locked up.

Did you try any of the High Life Light? I liked it but I guess they stopped brewing it.

So what was the verdict? Ive seen it sitting at Spec's but didn't want to drop $120 just to try it.

lol... It's really nice bourbon in my opinion. Is it better than, say, Four Roses Single Barrel...yes. Is it 3 times better...Nope, but it is good.
Is it worth the money, probably not, but I was rewarding myself for having a good year last year.

Right on. You used a good benchmark for me there - I like Four Roses SB.

The last time I was up at Spec's I picked up a bottle of Redwood Empire's Lost Monarch. That was a new one for me. It's a blend of bourbon and rye and tasted pretty unique. Right there in the $40 range. Totally worth a try - it was very good.

Both of the Redwood Empires are interesting. I reently bought a bottle of Iron Root Harbinger. It's out of Dennison, if I remember correctly and won at the SF Spirits Awards a couple of years ago.
