I am fixing to get my boat carpet done I believe the guy recommends 14 or 16 couldnt remember he said we could go up to the 20 but it may affect the lids closing or opening. Not sure what they come from factory anymore but a Skeeter Fx

You can go to 20oz without an issue. I did my Skeeter with 20oz and the lids open easily. No rubbing at all. I also padded all the top deck. I recommend that for sure! The padding is worth itโ€™s weight in rib-eye steaks!

I would Definitely get the padded deck and 20 oz. I've had a couple boats done and had no issues. Skeeter is a great boat, but the carpet never lasts long.
