Sitting here at my rear window, overlooking the rear patio, watching the winter tactics of our Cardinal family (They really don't like other birds),. glancing at the light snow , making me think of the winters in Minn. , when spiked tires, snow chains were the normal (not, forgetting the rope strung from the house to the outhouse) then unto Korea, where it was always cold.
Working for my Father doing ceilings in commercial (open) buildings in the winter, trying to use water levels , Now just sitting here in a nice warm room, enjoying. Life has had its difficult times, However its been a hell of a ride!

Note: Did I mention, I absolutely hate snow and cold, come on Spring....

My cardinals are having a hard time making it to the feeders with all the goldfinch!

We saw some beautiful cardinals yesterday riding the mule around the land. Cardinals in the snow are just gorgeous

We can’t seem to get them to stay on top the mule over here at my place.

Ours have been mostly Female lately , however just saw a bright red guy arrive (Females left) lol

We have bunches of Redbirds at the lease. They're cool.

Nice. We throw out birdseed and have two feeders in the backyard. I counted 16 dove the other evening, and yesterday they were roosting hunkered down in the shrubs. Cardinals, blue jays and a ton of Juncos. A few house finches mixed in.
