Has anyone heard of lately, the Federales taking rod and reels from fisherman that have more than 5 rods on the boat?

Probably take all the beers you have over 2. But you can go to Juarez and reclaim any rods/beers, just come on over gringo's.

SkeeterMark, not sure if that is true or not, but I heard the exact same thing when I was there a few months back. I didn't give it much thought until I saw your post....interesting. Boy, we would probably all be over 5......hate to lose all those rod and reels.

Carl fishes these waters every week and I can tell you that it is not true or he would be very mad. Because I bet he has 30 rods in his rod boxes and another 10 to 15 on the front deck. And yes he goes to the Mexico side often..

I have been fishing Falcon and Amistad for more than 20 years now, this story comes up every once in a while, but as far as I know it is not true. In fact I have never seen any Mexican Federales at Falcon. There use to be a Mexican game warden at Amistad in the early 90's but he was a good guy usually just checked for a liscense if anything. If truth be told I have had more troulbe with the Parks Service than anyone, I once got boat cheked by the same guy 3 times in two days!!!
