Went by the meat counter at Sam’s and they had whole untrimmed beef tenderloins. Above the bin there was a sign that stated $25.00 off of sticker price.

Worked out fine at the checkout.

If you have never bought a beef tenderloin, you should try one before you die. Cooked over charcoal and pulled at 130 degrees or medium rare it is the best cut of meat out there.

Sam's tenderloin prices have been too high for a year and a half - $17.99-19.99/lbs. Brookshires has them on sale this week for $13.99/lbs if you are near them. When Covid first hit Brookshires had them for $10.99/lbs for about 3 months, but I have burned through all of my stock now.

We have never bought the whole one, just to much for us. We do buy the smaller ones on sale, get about 5 good steaks out of them

With the discount it was about $11.00 per lb. total weight 8 pounds.

I just use an electric knife and cut them about 1&1/2 thick. Cook them on a charcoal Weber grill for about 5 minutes at 450 degree, turning once 1/2 way through.

Use Meat thermometer to 130 degrees.

Garlic salt, black pepper and a little Tony Chachere’s.

That's a good deal. Sounds great.
