I’m going to give some tying a try. Please recommend a good mail order place that has a starter combo that would make a good start.
Thanks

https://stores.crazyanglertackle.comhttps://stores.crazyanglertackle.com/slab-packHas a started kit also. You might want to wait a few days and see the responses to your post. Most starter kits have vices that are minimal for the job. You don't need a $250 vice to tie jigs but one that offers a few bells makes the job easier. And guys here can give you some good advice on some initial materials that will make great jigs in good fish catching color combos. The slab pack from Crazyangler lets you pick the colors you want.

While starting out should be modest, one should consider a very important piece of equipment that should be solid, does the job, and not have to replace anytime soon (if ever). I am talking about a vise... so I sincerely recommend a true rotary vise if you can budget for one....and for the best bang for your bucks, I would recommend the MAYFLY model 2a, 2b, or 2c. You can find these vise on ebay for under $90 on ebay.
Good luck

Thanks for the offer and advice. We just adopted a new puppy and she is taking all my attention right now. I thought raising three daughters was tough. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-77260-132132-ec2cf98c_a0ca_4fe6_a267_5ab99841c12a.jpeg) Thanks again I’m watching the suggested models on eBay for now.
