When the going gets tough, what is your go to bait?

I've been using these more and more.. like the 3 inch best... they work!

10" power worm in blue fleck or red shad. Maybe dropshot a redbug zoom finesse worm.

That's a good looking swimbait at a reasonable price Iconn4, I might have to pick up a couple of those. Thanks

My go to this time of year is either a baby Square Bill, a shad rap or finesse jig but upping my swimbait game is on my agenda.

I met a guy in the everglades a couple of years ago.. we were both trying to hide from wind and cold front that was passing through. He was a fly fisherman. Gave me one of the 3 inch baits and I wore the baby tarpon out. Tried them in freshwater on Fairfield in desperation on cold windless day and had a great day when I couldn't get bit on anything. Was having a tough day on martin creek a week or so ago and put a 4 inch on... bang, bang.. including a 24 inch over. I fish it like a worm.. exposed hook will hang grass just enough to make it pop out... then hold on. Works great on schooling bass too.

Not a fun bait to cast on windy days.. but when its calm, give it a shot.

Yeah. The action looks legit. Thanks for forcing me to spend more money. My arm is sore from the twist.
