What a difference a week makes.

This was the launch area last Sunday.. Paddled thru bridge to hot water side and gave up quick.

Busy place today with a tournament going on.

Got the skunk off and started looking for a big one with 7†hollow belly swimbait. Got a couple of taps but nothing going on so switched to 5†and caught a small one quick.. caught a few on spinner bait and finally decided to go to my cold water no wind tarpon killer. Catch one fast.. first cast with it.. three casts later get a good one.

Paddled out to the warm water discharge this morning. Snagged a couple tilapia and then sailed and surfed my way back to the launch. Windy and wavy out there.

Thanks guys... just trying to make folks aware that if you have a measuring device, take the picture, and send it in.. they process the info quick. I keep forgetting to send in their request for removing 3 scales from fish, but will be ready next time.

No one there when I arrived, but a few boats came and went before I made the paddle north.

yes... just to prove to myself I still could and get to an idea of what my limits are these days. bang That was definitely it. Had water all in cockpit and seat. I was dressed to swim but knew I had some cigarette holes in seat area of waders and even if I didn't go in the water I was going to be moist before the day was over if I didn't get out quick. No way to paddle back the way I went out.. Quartering waves and wind on my stern would have spelled disaster if I'd tried. Had already planned to get out on the other side of bridge on the way back no matter what happened going out. Will never try that again. roflmao I almost got pushed against bridge embankment as it was. Used paddle to push me back off rocks.. luckily it didn't break or I'd have had a yard sale.
