And just think, just 30 years ago we used to catch bass in 30 feet of water using mono and a 5'6" pistol grip. And we could feel the fish hit.

It's hard to argue with this. Been fishing with braid on most of my crappie rigs for this very reason, but typically keep with Fluoro on the bass side except for with jigs and frogs mostly.

I never realized the way to test the sensitivity of a fishing line was to put it in a book and slam it shut. That is a new one for me. I just tested them by fishing with them and decided for myself which one I would use.
