These fish do not match up to what many of you are catching, however, my dad and I had a good day recently. Perfect weather and sunset, even got some bird action late in the evening. We caught our fish using a 2 oz slab spoon (white and chartreuse), dropping to the bottom, and reeling up slowly. Going again soon and hope to catch more! Still on the hunt for the 10+ pound stripers!

Those are the good eaters, big fish as in 8 and over leave so much meat on the bone. Rib cage, cheek and chin have some meat that seldom get removed from big fish.
