Here is our last trip video with my buddy Bill on our boat from Killer Bee Outdoors. Killer Bee produced the video and we had a great day of fishing! We’ll be hitting a new lake this Sunday but haven’t yet decided on which one. We’ll be live streaming our trip again so hope some of y’all will join us on our adventure! We’re due for something massive and I hope y’all are there when that rod goes down!

We got a 36, 31, 29, 29, and around 18 or so in the mid to low 20s. We also caught a handful of teeners and 3 or 4 eaters. Thought we would have popped at least 1 in the 40s but never did. We missed probably 8-10 more big fish from trying to multi talk like trying to crank down while holding a camera or a beer or the trolling motor remote. Also missed a few while reeling in fish. Fun action packed day from start to finish!

Awesome job! Real nice seeing you putting things together on different fisheries. It’s the dividing line between spot fishing and find um fishing. Doing well in different situations, different lakes, it’s paramount! Congrats Buddy! See ya in the Gulf soon, Hu? Cannot wait!!! The door is open! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2022/01/full-98731-126230-733d1bf8_c872_401b_9587_bea23e8d200f.jpeg)

Chris, what speed were you drifting? I was out the same day and I did not have nearly the same success as you. I'm trying to learn/get better.
I saw fish all over the graph, using fresh shad, I couldn't get em in the boat.

We were going .3 most of the day. We bumped it up to .4 the few times the wind started blowing. Big baits we’re the key to getting the bigger fish and ours baits were huge. We caught teeners on medium baits but everything over 20 came off hand sized or bigger slabs and chunks.

I need get drift sock to control speed. I was going too fast with the wind. I tried trolling with the trolling motor but it was hard to keep under .7mph without spinning around.
Thanks!

iFloat what kind of boat do you have? When i first started catfishing I had a bass boat and I had a 56" and a 66" sock that I used. Now I have a 24' bay boat and the 56" wouldnt do much at all so I sold it and bought a 78". I just got my second 78" for Christmas but I haven't had to use it yet since I messed up my back and haven't been able to fish. There are times when I will be running both 78" socks.
