we got some WEATHER!


lookin like next monday evening thru the rest of the week we got rain/sleet/ice/snow possible, take your pick.

I may have to rehire frankie next week to handle the overload.

Weekend looks great! Headed back to Fayette for the weekend. Going to bust out the frogs and search the shallows for some explosive blow ups!!

Snow may limit our trapping though. Cold gets stuff moving.

We will see. I don't buy that model. Maybe where you area hop but I doubt we will see that in DFW.

Getting accumulating snow and ice in East Texas takes bringing a lot of factors together than don't usually go together here. Our strong cold fronts usually take long enough to drop us below freezing that the moisture is gone by the time it happens. If I had a $20 bill for all the times I have heard, "the Ozarks and Ouachitas dammed up the cold air long enough for the rain to move out" I would be retired right now.

It's like throwing a deck of cards in the air and having them land in A-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K order...all suited. Well, not exactly, but it's something like that.

Typically we have to have the cold air in place, then a new upper level low moves across the area. That or a low in the NW Gulf manages to throw enough moisture over cold air. Of course the counter-clockwise flow around the low can't be too strong at the surface because then we'll get warm air off the Gulf and won't be below freezing...

I don’t get my chimney cleaned until 2/7. I’m kicking myself for not getting it done months ago. With all the wood I’ve burned in the last three years, I was afraid to burn any this year until it gets cleaned, Once I get it cleaned, I’m sure it will stay warm until next year.

Keep that yankee crud up north.

Cold is good.
Mild is better.
Don't mind hot as long as the AC works.

I'm just glad it's going to be 66 on Sunday when I am on Fork staring at 3lb crappies on the ole video game!

But we were supposed to be freezing this week too...I guess mama changed her mind again.

Guess I'll go find some food to stuff in the freezer for next week then.
