Are you a fan? I hate to say this, but I'm not. We have traditional service with a pipe organ and songs from the 1600's and a rock band service. I can't do the rock band service. Today I was getting a flat fixed and they had KLTY at high volume. I found it annoying. Should I feel bad?

I like old and new.
The new music draws young folks to Jesus. Meet them where they are at.
Sure is a lot better than most of what is played these days.

It seems like most of the services I have been to play the same songs in the same order. They seem to elicit strong emotion to the point of bringing people into a trance. Music can be emotional. Most Christian music is emotional. I kind of feel like I being manipulated when I go to these services.

Yes our worship team plays contemporary and on occasion, an old hymn that I have forgotten the words. I very much prefer the modern.

I like the older contemporary music like Casting Crowns, Third Day, Mercy Me, etc. I do enjoy the traditional hymns in addition to the newer praise and worship music.

I like a lot of Big Daddy Weave music.

I'm glad we have a choice at our church. And no, I don't thinks its wrong or anything, but I'm very much a traditionalist.
