Oklahomas fishing license is good from Jan 1st - Dec 31st. I think its understandable that he overlooked his Texas License expired at the end of June.

I doubt very seriously this guy intentionally went fishing without a license.

When i moved to Oklahoma thankfully my buddy reminded me to go buy a new license right after New Years cause i was used to my license being good for an entire hunting season.

Same thing the following September i went to Wal-Mart to buy a new license for dove season in September when i was reminded my license was good through the end of the year although i did have to renew the HIP certification.

I know for some perfect people on this forum it may be difficult to believe it was an honest mistake.

They expire the 31st of August. I just cannot believe hes out here being this public. Making tons of money off Texas resources and is obviously better than anyone else at what he does yet he doesn't have a license. That is hilarious.

Unless he did the "Year-to-Date" last year. That's probably why it expired, assuming he forgot what day he bought it. Personally, I'm surprised he bought one from the marina rather than just ordering on-line. I've missed the date on mine before, had to buy one on my way to a tournament at 3am! I'm back to the normal August 31 now, thankfully!

Had no idea Texas fishing licenses expired at the end of June? He should realize he wasn’t in Oklahoma and check regulations. I hunt and fish in multiple states every year, first thing I do is purchase the necessary licenses need whether it Mulie hunting in Colorado or bull reds in Venice. I doubt it was intentional, dude just not very smart when it comes to common sense evidently.

He had no problem making money off Texas’ resources, or promoting his sponsors, or all the other stuff that would benefit him financially. I would expect a “high profile Bad**s” like himself to be able to purchase a fishing license to at least enjoy what the rest of us have been paying into for years.

Sorry August, still thinking Louisiana, but you get the point. It can be easy to make a simple mistake. No doubt its his responsibility to make sure his license is valid, but it doesnt make him a bad guy or equate him to a poacher. No one is suggesting he shouldnt have gotten a ticket.

Has to be something about chasing crappie for a year or two with the first prototype LS. Jones obviously found bass looking for crappie and the rest is history…. Saw a kid today caught two heavy 12s…weighed one then two hours later weighed another one..then posted a picture holding both….smh. I understand their his fish but come on man!

Seems those Ivie lunkers are stunted out to the 12-15 lb max range. With the removal of some should push the remainder to achieve their 18-20 lb potential.

i need to get back out there! I dont mind the grind. But....do you know if he caught them shallow? anything deeper than 3 feet and i cant catch roflmao

I seriously just wanna hear 1, "i caught him in 2 foot depth by the boat ramp" story and im there! 🤔

Does anyone know if any of the DDs were caught in 5 foot depth or less? Seems like the DDs slowed down when its shallow time, and I doubt these are/were shallow.
