Hello. Just wanting to get some information on the 2021 or 2022 nitro z21. I’m in the market to buy. Was wondering how they handle in rough water. Are they better built then the old ones? Do they hold up well? Just want to hear your thoughts about the boat. If there is anyone in the DFW area willing to take me out on the lake.. that would be great! Preferably a windy day. I currently own a 2007 Champion 210 elite and love the ride. I want a boat that will handle the rough stuff like the champion.

I asked that same question of the dealer and got a standard answer. I bought a Z19pro to be delivered in April, so I can let you know after that. Also, prepare to wait 12 weeks for delivery.

I didn't lose him at the boat. I shook him off cause I didn't want my hands to get "fishy"

Charger 210 Elite is a copy of your champ if you want the same ride. As for Nitros, they've come a long way but still have a bit to go to compare to a top tier builder. But they do offer air ride seats as an option to mask the ride.

You need to get a test ride in one.

Phoenix is the only boat I’ve ever heard with a ride as good as a Champion.

My buddy was convinced he wanted a Ranger, found someone with one and went for a ride. He decided to keep his ol’ Champion after that test ride.

How much you want for your current Champion, I’m interested?

Thanks for the replies! Yes I agree. I would like to go on a test ride before I make any kind of decisions. Any one willing to take me out for an hour I will pay for your gas and time. Grout-scout I have not thought that far ahead yet. When that time comes and I pull the trigger on a new boat I will keep you in mind. If you want to PM me your cell I can save your contact and send you some pics of the boat. . If not no worries. Thanks again guy’s.

Before getting my Phoenix I looked at a Z20. I think Nitros are one of the nicest looking boats out there. Base price is lower than most but when you start adding options it quickly skyrockets in price. Also some of the little things turned me off like plastic latches and cheap hinges. Overall it’s a nice boat and I’m not knocking them, just decided it wasn’t for me.

Thanks for the info tmd11111. Yes you are right. I’m looking at the Z21 pro. After I add the bobs hydraulic jack plate and the second console I’m out the door at 76,000. Adds up quick for sure.

Repower motor, new trolling motor, new carpet, new electronics, new batteries, a buff out job and you have one of the best "new" riding boats out there. Heck of a lot cheaper also.

Lol spacejunkie.. I have done all of that plus I pulled the mega link out and added a new wire harness and all new switches. Bought the harness kit from ranger. Was a pain in the a**. Only thing left to do is throw a new Merc on it. I have always wanted to buy me a new boat. I’m finally in the position to do so and the wife is on board. I just love the layout of the z21.

do you really need the 50 extra HP or the extra 1' 10"? i ordered the z19pro loaded front to back WITH raptor shallow water anchors, Active Target, 112lb Ghost, upgraded 12" Lowrance on the front 9" at the console....actually here's the p.o. for you to check out. My longest rod will STILL not touch the console. [Linked Image]

FYI i'm in a '93 Skeeter z150 right now so this boat is actually bigger than i'm used to. i wanted the upgrade for width more than length...well, that and storage!

A Z21 will feel like an aircraft carrier compared to that bug.

no he's looking at a 21. im going to a 19. someone mentioned the hefty pricetag. id love a 21, but cant justify another 10-15k for it. especially since i usually fish alone

I looked at a 21 Pro at our BPS, it is a really impressive layout.
