Tried a new Thumpernator box........crazy morning, had 2 dozen minnows, half dozen nightcrawlers....on the lake at 7am, done by 10am....who said thumpers only good for stripers....

Had 4 poles get slammed...2 hybrids, 1 largemouth and 1 crappie...first thing, followed by many multiple poles slammed until literally the last minnow a nice largemouth.

fubar many pictures when 5 poles have fish and only 2 of us....several messy times of 4 or more fish on at once......

Trolling motor and new thumpernator huge success !...very exhausting fish trip, one of the craziest fishing trips in a long time....no time to cast, no time to drink coffee..maybe lower pole count next time.

I have pretty much caught everything that swims while thumping! Striper, sandbass, hybrids, catfish, and the occasional largemouth, crappie and drum! It may be loud in the boat but it sounds like a fish party going on underwater!

+1 on the above quote. I used to be the "shhhhhh" dad with the kids, always telling my son to keep it down. About 3 years ago me and the kids were at the upper end of Grapevine lake and I was whacking the sandbass.. Kids asked if they could jump in, I said ok.. They were doing back to back cannon balls off the back of the boat and I was still whacking the sandbass at the front. I also have caught all the above while either thumping or listening to loud music. The fish are definitely used to the noise, and it doesn't affect them in a negative way. I have some new electronics on the boat, so I will be collecting some realtime footage of the area below the boat. I am looking forward to sharing footage of fish moving in when I start the thumper or music. Still dialing in the new electronics, but it really gives me a tremendous amount of information.. Look forward to sharing the info with you guys as I get it. I have the hummingbird helix with the mega 360, and I have given up on the hummingbird live and simply added a dedicated livescope setup.. I have to say I can see that this is not for everyone, as there is allot of info to take in. But I understand it, and it is working exceptionally well. Kudos to David at "Shut up and Fish" in lewisville for the great price. "Cash is king"

Here is a cool video I shot last year with my thumper! You can see the fish responding on the Livescope! I set the thumper pretty low and used a splasher because I wasn’t that deep. I put 5 minutes of Livescope video in this one starting at 2:45 just so you can see the fish swim in and out!

No Livescope, no problem! This is a regular graph image! [Linked Image]

That is really cool! I’ve fished crappie in Livescope and sand bass and Striper would be awesome to see roll in under the boat. Wow there were dozens several dozen of them looked like.

Prosise - I’ll look forward to seeing your Livescope action on GV. I plan to try GV lake this year.

Romerox, great post and start of the 2022 season. I’d take a mess rather than sitting and nothing biting. Thumpers seem to work and I’m getting close to getting one.
