Either a C or E clip.
Handy plumbing tip for y'all. If your going to be working on items like this, it's always...ALWAYS a good idea to block off the drain with a rag or something as those small parts like clips and screws are somehow magnetically attracted to bounce once and go straight down the drain into the abyss. Experience sometimes isn't very graceful.

I see online it has happened to some folks. The inside portion of the stem breaks loose from the outer housing. They showed tapping the housing and using a bolt and block nut technique to remove it. Similar to a pulley puller, but on the inside.

Uggg I hate hate hate plumbing. God bless yall who do it. Its the worst of all trades if you ask me. Or the most difficult? Not sure. But I hate it.
Drip drip drip. Everything drips and breaks off into something and floods something and o rings fail and metals fail and valves fail and then drip drip flood flood..next thing you know you have mold, need new sheet rock and flooring and your wife and SIL well they runs away with a Canadian weed grower from Vancouver who once gave you a hand carved totem and you try to paint a stripe on it and sell it to your buddy but he is out of town... he ran down to the valley to smuggle some folks up from Mexico... and the drip goes on. Drip drip drip.

It does look like a Moen. My initial thought just looking at the pics is you need to just replace the valve cartridge. That should be a $45-$50 cost or you could get a whole repair kit that includes the base and valve cartridge and will run you probably around $125-$150.

Inner stem has pulled out and brass cartridges are famous for what happened to you.. I have the tool for pulling the outer cartridge housing here at the shop.. Come by and pick it up..
