Awesome, thanks for this. Is that low water bridge located at the end of where you traveled or did you pass it? Just trying to figure out where on your map its at.
I’ve been at that 259 ramp but never taken a kayak out there, do you ever encounter any strong currents in those channels?
They are suppose to be replacing the hwy 155 bridge soon, I wonder if they’ll shut off boat traffic through there which could limit the amount of boats in that area unless folks launch at 259 and don’t care to go to the main lake.

I did not continue past the low water bridge. The low water bridge is located at the north end of my redline track shown in the screen shot pic. There are also places to launch into Big Cypress Bayou upstream of the low water bridge, You can expect to encounter some trees blocking the channel further upstream. I did not experience any strong currents but I'm sure after a big rain the flow rate can increase dramatically. If I go back to this area I think I will launch above the low water bridge or south of the Lone Star ramp so I have a better chance of fishing away from power boat traffic,

Appreciate the info. We have property in Lone Star and have been thinking of hitting LoP in our Yaks. Had done some Google maps recon and was thinking of hitting this area for the White Bass run. Your pics are very helpful. Any idea if the White Bass can get above the low water bridge?
