Just wondering if anybody fishes the lake? Was thinking about giving it a try around the end of the month for some crappie. Any info would be appreciated

There’s the older north lake and the newer south lake. They are connected by a tunnel.
The south lake is one of the stumpiest lakes in the area with many stumps just below the surface. Be careful as one of them claimed my trolling motor shaft.
Lots of boat dock brush piles in the old north lake.

Its not really but you do have to be careful. "New side" has much clearer water than old side and is deeper. Old side more stained and you have to be careful on that side too, not so much for stumps but fun little things like chicken wire, metal fenceposts, and other various "garbage" . Fun lake you should enjoy it.
Good Fishing and God Bless

As of today water temp is 43 and Gina get colder. Crappie will be deep on timber new side. Pretty easy find if you have down imaging. You’ll have to fizz all the short fish when you throw them back.

Fished it Saturday and no crappie. Fished 20-35 foot off of creek channels and off main lake points. Seen fish on my Solix but no takers. O well it was a nice day to be out fishing anyway.

Used to fly fish that one when I was working on the Barnett. Plenty of fish near that pipe connecting the two waterbodies.
