Agree some good ones. While my Viking Reload is typically a little higher than those it's still reasonable in today's market and partial to me.

It's a struggle to rationalize the move from kayak to boat - a boat of any kind. (Motorizing a kayak is putting off the inevitable I think.)But once I had a boat, I sold my kayaks off AND that was a huge mistake in retrospect! I slowly bought one back, and now with the evolution of kayaks-canoes ... maybe I should call it a canyak LIKE the Old Town 119 ... I can find a reason to have one of those (several reasons actually), and use it. The big game changer for me making the shift to boat was EASE OF USE - not having to load weight that only seems to be getting heavier for most kayaks. After six years of boat ownership, I can say I have ONLY NOW landed on my first significant motor problem (some call them "issues"), and it's still a DIY fix. +1 for Sabine Skiffs as well!

I agree this is interesting and could get you on the water in a small pond but can't be taken seriously for bay fishing. I've worked with the plastic he uses a lot and while it is strong in some aspects it's resistance to puncture is paper thin. A stump, stick, rock, oyster, etc. could easily puncture the plastic.

In today's world if you're not careful you'll have someone trying to take that thing offshore roflmao

It looked about as safe and reliable as one of my kid's pool float toys.
Someone else on YouTube used the same materials to build an Igloo looking camp tent.

That cellophane kayak would have to be filled up with balloons before I'd get it in water over my head! IslandJim

Yes, the cellophane kayak is very poor as far as ruggedness and I wouldn't use one except in a pond or swimming pool, haha! But it represents perfection in terms of many other aspects that manufacturers and Engineers are aiming for, in terms of low cost, lightweightness, great underwater visibility, Easy Transport if it could be made collapsible, Etc. Who knows, with new materials yet to be invented it may come into existence, and become a highly desired product, haha!
