Mark he had plenty of time to think over the matter, this wasn't a nee jerk answer. You're right I have said things that I wished I would not have. I sure have not stood in front of a camera and with the millions upon millions that surf the media platform and said something like that. The correct thing to say is we got beat today. He said that, he took ownership of the loss. The he's a millionaire in front of a camera with a platform is a cop out out to me. You and I have posted way worse than he said right here in Off Topic. He was not calling for the heads on spikes or anything. I think it was more a tongue in cheek reply that he said a little toe dry and it came off wrong. I would feel the same if any other player had said it. Its a big non story to me. Hate him if you want to hate him for it but some day I hope the cancel culture stuff goes away. Its played out. I believe Mark is 100% right about this, but he is the face of the cowboys now. He needs to remember everything he says will be repeated and just not say stupid stuff in front of the cameras. He has got to keep his wits.

He has done too much good for one slight slip to erase everything about him. I give him a pass on this one and we will see what happens in the future. If you hate Democrat ways you surely can't be for cancelling him over one slip up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3opcl1dm31AThat proves to me that Dak is a stupid punk and I hope that he gets his butt manhandle next year where he will be seeing stars after every play when an defensive players rocks his world. My hope is he never competes again in a game and if he does he fails at every snap. I hope the NFL (which they won't, not a black QB) fines him so much money that his pockets are empty. I could not care if Dallas won or lost before, I neither rooted for or against them but now....I will be rooting for the Cowboys to lose every game until they rid themselves of Dak. Then I will root against any team that he plays for. He had plenty of time to think about what he was going to say. He had time to walk off the field, he had time in the shower, he had time dressing and going into the press room. This was not in the heat of the moment answer, he knew what he was saying. No rational person that didn't hate dak and the cowboys before the game would get so upset after that interview. Nice try.

I do not hate Dak, I hate that they or he can stand before any platform and spout off from the hip and then grin and even laugh about it. You can put any name in the space and have them say what he said and I would feel the same way.
Mark, you are right I have written way worse than he spoke but then again I am not in front of any cameras either or speaking to a large mass, the bunker is way different than a mass media platform.
Sport teams mean really nothing to me in a win/loss situation. Look! I am a Georgia Tech grad, losing comes easy for us and most every year. I even root for Georgia when they are not playing Georgia Tech. Even then, I never go bonkers over any sport team, I have no control over them and how they do. They have never made me want to tear something up and go buy everything with their name on it. In today's idol worshiping of sport figures they have way too much influence on just not the young people but those that seem to live or die with every win or loss. Being I now live in Alabama, I see this everyday with the Alabama football team fans. They are rather obnoxious in how they think the sun rises and set in Tuscaloosa. If Dallas went 17-0 or 0-17 it makes no difference to me, but when a person is okay with fans pelting other people, that goes beyond what I will accept or tolerate from anyone.
Plus I would rather live in Dallas, Texas any day than living in San Francisco, California.

C'mon guys, we all know the refs are perfect every game and every call and there is no need for instant replay either. Accept the perfection and move on. I agree with the no need for instant replay either part... Replay is beyond ridiculous... Take last night call on the AJ Green supposed catch. Two officials get together to hash it out, after about a minutes delay the head referee steps in and then the 3 hash it out all over again for 2 minutes before ruling it a catch. Then McVay who's been watching the replay on the video board for 3 minutes throws the challenge flag so they have to go instant replay booth. After another 3 minutes (commercial make the NFL money) they come back and rule it an incomplete pass, so now they have to re-spot the ball, and get the chains and down marker correct. So it took them 7 minutes to figure it out when after the very first replay was shown 15 seconds after the paly was over we all knew the pass was dropped. Let the officials call the game as they see it or have two guys in the booth watching every play and calling down to the field on the obvious calls... Officials are human being calling a game played human beings... Dan

Kind of like baseball and calling balls and strikes. I know I could not do it, I would miss half the calls, Better yet, I would just yell out BALL!...STRIKE! after every pitch. Baseball really does not need any replay, no sports do, its part of the drama. I just wish there were not so many flags thrown in a football game..I mean every play there is something that could cause a penalty. Flags have ruined a many of games. A ref in his mind could reasonable throw his flag on every play.

You can't fumble forward is reasonable. Fumbling through the end zone should give the ball back to the offense at the point it was fumbled unless it was 4th down. Then the ball should be turned over where it was fumbled. Two feet in bounds on a pass with possession should be the end of it. Looking at what they did when they hit the ground afterwards was a bad move in my opinion. The hanky panky that happens between the defense and the pass receivers is impossible to officiate. I understand contact but the amount of pushing and shoving that happens could be flagged or not on most every play.

When the rules were changed years ago to allow offensive linemen to use their hands as the defensive linemen are allowed to do, this opened the door for a holding call on every single offensive play. Penalties for pre-snaps, illegal shift, false start, delay of game, etc is lack of discipline and or coaching. As was mentioned earlier, never allow the officials to enter into whether or not the game is lost. Bad calls will happen, but the cowsheep hadn't done well all season against a team with a winning record, ie Giants, WFT, Philly, etc. I have said many times to family and friends, the Cowsheep will not win a SB until Jerry is no longer calling the shots. This team was the best chance, talentwise, in years to go further into the playoffs for a very long time. I use to be a die-hard fan of the 'Boys since 1960, but since '89, have been lukewarm in liking them even in the early '90's SB runs. I don't get nearly as upset with their loses as I use to back in the '70's and '80's. I use to be miserable from Sunday to Saturday after they would lose. Not anymore. Just watch them for entertainment, (along with other NFL games). Besides, there is always next year. JMHO

Here's what everybody needs to remember about this game and all others..............it's only entertainment. Jerry said that too. Don't get too hung up on any of it.
It's just entertainment. Be entertained then turn off the tube and do something else.
simple.

I know in the last 3 years or so, I have ventured into watching the old black and white movies. Those things were great, solid acting and story lines that capture your attention. My wife loves to watch old Cary Grant movies and I had yet to watch one of them up into the last few years, now I am hooked on his films. Yea, entertainment comes in different ways and not all of them have to be in color. Then again I find entertainment sitting in a parking lot waiting on my wife and just people watching.........

Just act like it's WWE and good guys become bad guys for a while and then they'll be good guys later on again - plus depends on their tag-team partner. All the while the refs are slow to count to 3 Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - Just think of Dak as Ric Flair

There ya go. Couple years ago I endeavored to watch as many old Westerns as I could. Not the usual titles, one's that I'd never seen. Saw lot of great movies. Saw a couple Saturday that were new to me.........excellent.
