ristorap,
Where in NW FL? That's where I grew up also. P/Cola. And you are right, the bream fishing was great then and probably is now.
You are living in a nice town now. We have stayed at the Town Creek B&B when we were there last. Just visiting, no fishing.
Wish I could help you on the bream fishing down that way but I am just getting started finding where they are up here.
Good luck............

I have heard that fairfield has some big gills in it. It may be kind of a drive for you though, I believe it is off of I-45 in fairfield.
A fish a day keeps the doctor away.

Heck of a deal! When did you move this way? Do you have a website for your B&B?
Yep, I know what you mean about the area and the bluegills! We fished Escambia River and anywhere else we could wet a hook. Big shellcrackers in the Yellow River. And we always made a trip to the Singing River in Pascaugula every full moon in April to catch the shellcrackers on the beds there. But we mostly used the big 'ol grunt worms....remember those monsters?
Stay in touch as I am getting ready to make my first trip to Lake Fairfield as soon as this rain lets up and the lakes settle back down. Gonna try for those bluegills and maybe see if I can tempt one of the reds too. I'll let you know how that turns out.
I'll try a search for Buaona Sera and see what comes up.
Later................

Hey Bill, check out this website for some ideas as well. The owner is doing some site maintenance, but should come up. Good maps and links for the area. Nice forum. Austin Yakers I think I have seen your B&B, if it is the one in Stonewall. Nice. Good luck!

vanboom thanks for the link! bbrown i've been in and out of texas since 1974. military got me here first (san angelo). spent many hours wading in twin buttes for whites and bbass. came to stay in 03 to keep an eye on an ailing father in law. when he passed we like this area (other than the insane taxes) so much that we bought the stonewall property and opened the b&b. the pedrenales river is about 200 yards from my front door and i catch alot of small brim there in addition to some decent bass. we have our b&b listed with gastehaus schmidt reservation service. www.fbglodging.com. our contract says we must book thru them but that doesn't stop me from discounting the rate to tff'ers! chicken foot...can you put a small bassbuster in there or is it to far to carry one??? love your signature!!! agree 100%!!!

I found you listed somewhere else when I keyworded Buona Sera. I have it in "My Favorite" and we'll give you a shout when we come down next time.
