Finally got an opening at a new storage space on the coast and was discouraged to hear the outlet is on a 50 min timer. My Minn Kota charger maintains 3 banks for the TM and starting battery in a basically off / float state. And Optima's like a full charge. I'm a 2 hour drive away and when I use the boat for a couple of days it needs a good charging that evening to use it the next day.

Storage owner is worried about boat guys burning down their place with an electrical fire. How do you or other storage places deal with this?

get a gfci extension cord for the charger and ask the owner to take the timer out of the circuit.

maybe explain to him that the charger goes to a 2a maintain once batteries are full.

if they advertised the space with power then they should provide it 24/7 unless the timer was mentioned in the contract.
