What would it cost to build your own slip? Setup with X number of guys paying X number $$$$ and no one could tell you to pick up your ball and go home. I would think that there would be plenty of fishermen that would be interested in owning a part of a fishing slip. You can't do that on a Corp of Engineers lake

maybe build a barge and anchor it out in the lake. I heard the rules are it must be moved at least once every 3 days but not sure There is a barge on one of my local lakes that seems to be perpetually anchored in open water about 50 yards from the marina, it has been there for at least a year. not sure how they are able to keep the barge there so long without moving it. it doesnt look like a work barge, and never see anyone working.
I saw a barge on lake tradinghouse that was a work barge that gave me some good ideas,, they are taking soil samples around powerline poles. and need a stable platorm to work on while in the water.. the way the barge is set up is it has two steel "spuds" on it that are raised and lowered by a winch and cable set up. the bottom of the spud is pointed but tapers so it wont push too far into the bottom... wherever they decide to stop, they lower the spuds down to the lake bottom to hold them in place.. they tow a smaller flatboat around with them so when ready to leave they lower the spuds on the barge and leave it in the lake, then take the small boat to the dock.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Too much trouble even if it could be allowed. Marina's lease property from the Corp.

Too much trouble even if it could be allowed. Marina's lease property from the Corp. Then a group of anglers could do the same thing? Probably a lot of paperwork involved and don't have a clue as to the cost.
