Anyone use any cheap hands free ways to thump? Like a drum kick pedal?

Sounds like a lot of work while trying to relax and fish. I didn't want to spend hundreds so I built my own. This was a fun little project, about $75 invested in a wiper motor, speed control and a battery to make it self contained. Had a brass hammer, wood for a base and a box to put it in. With shelter in place I haven't had much chance to try it out but it will last longer than I will.[Linked Image]

Built one very similar to yours. Used wiper motor, speed controller and battery from ebay. tool box from home depot.
The only thing I added was a remote on/off also from ebay, all for about $75. Works well.

Scroll down about half way on the link below. The redneck thumper works well.

The bigger the Bluetooth speaker the better.

Tiz a royal pain in the butt to manual thump, operate troller by hand, catch fish, unhook fish and repeat. Thank GOD for spot lock trollers, automated thumpers ,awesome electronics and ideas from good anglers .

+1 on the post above by prosise. He posted that a while back and I duplicated it. It worked well on Lewisville then we moved to Texoma and it's bringing them in here too.

I am using the harmon kardon onyx studio 6. It was on half price and i bought it when my jbl extreme died. It has good bass, but the are many others that do the same. You can get a decent Bluetooth speaker for 150 bucks, and jam all day long at the house. When you go fishing you got a thumper, and i have found bon Jovi is great for sandbass. I use the thumper app about 50% of the time, and just jam the other half..

I bet one of those wakeboard boats would do an awesome job of thumping! Fire up half the lake! grin
