What are your favorite five bream fishing places around the metroplex...or anywhere else for that matter? Mine are: 1. Lake Loy (Sherman) 2. Lavon (backs of coves) 3. Hickory Creek (Lewisville) 4. Farmersville 5. Edgemont City Lake
He leadeth me beside still waters.

Favorites, and not in any order.
Private stock ponds west of the Metro Mess that receive little or no fishing pressure, especially for the perch/bluegill/sunfish group.
Older City water supply lakes, especially the smaller ones.
Copper Breaks State Park. Lora(campcook) and I haven't been in a couple of years, but we do remember catching filleting size fish on a consistent basis when there.
Purtis Creek State Park. We have only been one time, but we had a great time, and caught some good fish.

Jeff,
You like Fairfield better than Fork? I have had lots of good luck on Fork. Is it too late to try Fairfield? Do you have any advice on finding them on Fairfield and what time of day is best this time of year?

Never fished around Dallas at all, but Toledo Bend has got to be one of the best because if you get on the big Gills you are really one them.
It was many years back many years ago a friend and I were bass fishing and ran into some bream that kept knocking the heck out of our 6" fire tailed worms and we were not doing much with the bass. So we headed back to the marina and got some crickets to use with our ultra lights we always kept in the boat and went back. After a pretty short time (maybe a couple of hours) we had 42 that we kept and all were very big. Smallest was 3/4 Pound and biggest was 1 3/4 pounds and if we had known, we would still have the record on Toledo Bend.
Them were the biggest Bluegills I ever saw and that is why I say this is one great bream fishing lake. I wish now that I had put more time learning more about finding them, but it will probably be next year I really get after them in the spawn. I may try to find some this summer, but I know that will be hard for me since they will most likely be 25'-35' deep and harder for me to find since I don't know enough about them at this time.
Anyone have any suggestions?

All summer long is good on Fairfield for big bull bluegills, the hotter the better. Some places are better than others on Fairfield, but I like to target the outside edges of the hydrilla where it drops of to 5 or six feet deep...Good luck..

#1. East Lake Toho St. Cloud, FL #2. West Lake Toho Kissimmee, FL #3. Lake Fork East Texas #4. Singing River Pascagoula, MS
I did not list a lot of places here in Texas as I have not concentrated on the bream fishing here as yet. I enjoyed all the wade fishing in and around Florida. It's not too easy to wade in these deep lakes here.
But I have a boat and my bream fires have been rekindled and I'm going to get back into chasing bream again shortly.
Wish me luck............

Where there is hydrilla there are Bluegill. That is the first thing I look for.
Where punters are punted.
