 Riley and Gator off to good start in 2022

Riley and Gator went to a 2 day barrel race this weekend. She ended up 3rd after 2 runs out of about 300 ladies. She also ended up winning the open youth out of about 100 kids. It’s always great to see her be successful! How proud you must be of her! We are very proud of her accomplishments in the arena but what we are more proud of is her relentless determination and willingness to put the work and practice in at the house to put herself in position to be successful. Unlike some who have a paid person to exercise, feed, etc for them Riley does 90% of that herself. Every now and then her mom rides Gator but very seldom. Riley understands and knows Gator and how he is feeling better than anyone and she understands the importance.

However, every time I hear of barrel racing, I get this image of 7 to 8 55gal barrels in a starting gate.
