Brett Alexander is the man up there. Matt Madlener is an up and comer too and a great guy to be in a boat with (T-Bone Guide Service).

Do you have a boat by chance? I have fished there many years and would gladly point you in the right direction.

I do- wasn’t planning on pulling it up but open to any good ideas! Pulled mine from Houston to Mille Lacs a couple of years ago and it was a great time. Having my own boat allowed us to change to smaller lakes when the weather turned nasty and later starts when the casino went well the night before.

I pull my boat up north every year in mid to late May, it's not a big deal. The north side of Sturgeon Bay is one big rocky flat that extends way out from shore. I think it's actually called "the flats" on maps. No guide needed!!! Tubes and dropshots. This area swarms with smallmouth moving up to spawn.

I do- wasn’t planning on pulling it up but open to any good ideas! I would highly suggest for you to begin searching for a place to stay, that area fills up fast. The end of May till the first two weeks in June will be the spawn.

I have fished several times up there for smallmouth with Mike Karempelis - Walleyes & More Sport Fishing. You could not find a better smallmouth guide up there, period. Great guy too. Has a weekly fishing talk show; top line rig/equipment. You can bring stuff if you want, but Mike furnishes all equipment and lures. Check out his website for more info.

Jimmy Doering - Cast N Catch Charters. Young guy, great stick. You can look him up on Facebook. As some else said, Brett is the main guy up there. He's probably already booked up and you'd get pushed off to one of his helper guides. Bite starts in early may and goes up to ice in the fall. Early May is probably peak for giants. I'd book for at least 2-3 days. In the spring there are many days that are too windy/dangerous to fish where the giants live, which is mostly little sturgeon bay.

What have you decided on doing? I can give you a list on the tackle and baits you will need.
