Apparently…his vacation is over.
It has been in the sixties every day for the last ten days. It’s in the upper 50s now…but going down to 30 tonight. The 30 at midnight tonight will be the high for tomorrow with temps plummeting to the teens with snow. At least the wind will be 20 mph.
Argh.

There's a reason why most olds don't move north after retiring... Exactly. As you get older you get smarter. Winters were always harsh for us on the prairie. Pa taught us to store lots of salted meats, and to always protect our animals from ice and wolfs.

Guess we’ve done all we can do to prepare. Plenty of firewood. Outside faucets covered, heat lamps for all the animals. We’ll leave our inside faucets running tomorrow night. We live in a old house not far from Welsh.
