I never fish this time of year because I'm usually hunting in the woods. But since it has been too warm for hunting I satisfied a yearning for the water this morning. I hit Lake Lewisville at dawn, eager to try a new bait - deer heart. I didn't have any luck in shallow water, but found them in 10'-15'. The blues seemed to like venison as much as I do. I fished for a couple of hours, released a big one and a few little ones. I kept a nice six pack of blues and ended this warm December on a high note. Happy new year!

Me too Glenn. I've been nuts about catfishing since I was a little boy and now I'm getting old and love it as much as I ever did! Don't think I will be getting over
It any time soon.
