I was so happy to see that South Carolina's head coach did not bring along the players that were opting out of their bowl game. I saw some other games where the decision was made to let them tag along. That's every team's own decision. In my opinion, if you don't want to play in a bowl game, then stay at home with your agent.

Completely agree. This idea is part of the death of college football in my opinion. Whats next high school kids sitting out of the playoffs because they already have a scholarship offer?

I agree, they keep showing Kenny Pickett on the Pitt. Vs MSU game. If they don't wanna play they can either stay home or buy a ticket. I understand why they do it just don't get why they would.

College football will never be the same. I agree, but is football the same as it was 20+ years ago? Football in general is what I consider a water down version of what it use to be.

To me, if they “opt out” they quit the team. Buh bye.

As a player who is moving on to the next level, it is the smart thing to do. It stinks to see it from a fans perspective, but does the 'Generic Brand Name" Bowl really matter?

To me it’s simple. If you “opt out” you are quitting your team at that point. OK, I understand, but call it what it is and leave them at home on their couch to watch the guys who didn’t quit.

NCAA needs new Leadership immediately before they obliterate collegiate athletics forever. How about the Trans swimmer fiasco! They (NCAA) remind me of the current idiots in D.C. destroying our country.

They need to drop most of the bowl games anyway. I love football as much as anyone. I don't watch 6 win teams play bowl games.. if I was a player looking at draft day.. I wouldn't want to play in a toilet bowl either. Now if I thought that would my last game, and I wasn't going to the next level. Sure I would play it. The big Bowls with the marquee match ups, I would want to play in those. Playoffs, absolutely. Go Bearcats.
