Went to Bridgeport Tuesday because the weather has been too good not to go. Get there and water temp was 60 at wise county park. I had my deep diving cranks on and deep jerk bait and even threw my jig. Question is do you fish according to time of the year or to the water temp or to the solar lunar tables(lol). According to the conditions i guess i was puzzled where to go. I fished alot of the points between wise county and the main lake. Went to the main lake and even went to 3 fingers and fished another creek on east side of lake. No bites. Other than that great day on the lake, boat ran good equipment worked well and beautiful day.

Buda i did read your post but couldnt get the jig bites

I'd call Mark Perry and have him show me around. He's a pretty solid stick on Bridgeport.

Bridgeport is just tough in the winter no matter the weather conditions. I just cover water and keep moving until I get a bite. It's always one here, one there this time of year on the lake. I really have not fished it much in the winter though these past few years so I could be wrong and it could have changed in that regard.

If it were me I would always fish the conditions first.

Don’t feel bad. I zeroed Sunday fishing behind Buda and his secret spinner bait. It’s a great place to get out of a 25mph wind. To bad it has no fish. I’ll stick with Ray Roberts.

With the weather the way it is, one word: Topwater.

Bite is real tough right now, reaction bite at best. Fish are fat, happy, and unles your really on point they are going to give you the cold shoulder. I have been doing good before sunrise, and after sunset for bigger fish. Lunar has something to do with it, but wx is all screwed up and we have to dial into what they want. Hang in there..
