Oh shoot with the facts! Not to mention there are only a very slim not even a hand full of tundras that are sold with the super charger, while the ecoboost is the number one selling power plant of the number one selling truck in the class.

So they both have a “power adder”. Ford has TWO on their motor(twin turbo). Mine has one(single super charger). The big difference is the extra 4 cylinders on the Tundra. Kinda proving my point. Everything being equal, the BIGGER motor wins.

They showed yours is slower than two ecoboosts which does not even address towing capabilities.
Since Toyota decided to scrap the 5.7 for a twin turbo 3.6 liter, your attempts are pretty much throttled.
Even Toyota is going the V6 twin turbo direction. Hopefully theirs will get better fuel efficiency than the 5.7.

I liked the Ford 2.7 myself. I bought a used 2016 last week from Brian @ Texas Motorcars and I'm impressed with it so far. No towing yet but my trip to the coast driving from 70 to 80 all the way got me 22.6 mpg on the way down and 21.4 on the way back. Not too shabby.
My brother has a 3.5 with a program that I was able to drive while we were down there and its a beast.

This is all which is better, not which is capable or not. They can all safely pull any bass boat made and do it safely.

All of them make my poor ecodiesel look silly in the power department, but I did put almost 600 miles on a tank 1 week of commuting, drug an acre food plot in blow sand 4x4 low, and make a 350 mile round trip ranch run 75-85 mph and still got 24.5 on the tank hand calculated PARTY!

It would severely loose in any race with the above mentioned power plants though.

I wouldn't be too surprised if some of the bad remarks aren't mistaking the 2.7 ecoboost for the 3.5 ecoboost. Our 3.5 ecoboost pulls just fine pulling our 20 ft Falcon boat, or one of our car trailers. It's not the same as our powerstroke... but it's about the best compromise you could ask for if you don't want the 3/4-1 ton experience.

The one downfall for me is that it cruises way too smooth. All my speeding "moments" are behind the wheel of our F150. frown

OK guys here it is, just got my 2022 F 150 Powerboost 3.5L EcoBoost Hybrid, 435 hp, 575 ft/lbs torque, I have the tow package 12,200 lbs towing, so towing the Tracker will be no problem. After the first 1000 miles, I get 23.9 mpg, but I have to say I only drive county roads and FM's considering what I paid for gas on Tuesday that is a good thing.
