How do you use them to catch fish? With livescope, is it mostly fishing for suspended fish? It sounds like as for strictly numbers, sounds like livescope is the way to go. But from what I can tell, you go around looking for baitfish, then search for the bass around and go after those bass. Do you just not use the other techniques much anymore...ie squarebill (crankbaits in general other than deep diving) , spinnerbait, bottom contact (jig, TR...) ? I know it's a different style and i'm not bashing it...just trying to figure out how it works. I want to pick up a livescope...but I just don't know if I want to give up all the techniques of fishing and just chasing bass on my graph.
Then for 360, have you found that you have definitely been putting more fish in the boat after you got the 360? Do you fish mainly the same way as you always have but now are more accurate/efficient due to knowing exactly where the laydowns/stumps are? Do you feel this has led to more bass in the boat?
If you have both...I know I know...that's the best option...lol but not sinking that much money in it just yet.
Thank you all for your thoughts and advice!

Livescope leads to frustration cause you will see fish look at your bait and swim away.

360 is an enhanced version of side-imaging. It aids in pin-pointing targets and bait. You can use it to see target fish, but it is a structure/cover tool more than anything. You can speed up to see movement, or slow down to enhance the view of the structure/cover.

I don't put more fish in the boat, but it did nearly win me a boat. I found bluegill beds that I couldn't see on side/down imaging, and changed tactics when I saw fish moving in and out of them.

Thank you for. your thoughts! So you don't really feel like it helps you put fish in the boat on an average day? Do you feel like you get quite a few fish off the structure that you wouldn't have known were there without 360? Just trying to play things out before I spend a ton of money. thanks

I've seen fish on 360 over log jams. Caught a couple dragging a jig or C-rig through it. Another time I followed a school of fish on a road bed. Don't think they were bass, no bites. I like it. Great tool for finding structure.

I am more confident in areas and I can follow bait. That leads me to believe it will eventually lead to more fish in the boat. I just have to be more flexible when I see the positive feedback. It's on me, not on the tool as to more fish in the boat.

I waited a long time to buy mega 360, but finally gave up. How do you get your hands on the 360?

I love my Mega 360. I’ve only had it a couple months and I still got a lot to learn but as stated above seeing everything is amazing. Bream beds look awesome. Places I’ve caught fish in the past over and over in a certain spot, now I know why. You can see every little thing on the bottom. It has slowed me way down! I spot lock and fish every stump and lay down I see then move on to the next spot.

livescope does not change my method of finding fish it just adds to the ability.

the little dots don't say "bass", "crappie" etc. it just shows there is some sort of fish there.
once you find them then you still have to figure out how to catch them.
mine is a great search tool and I use it but it does not mean an automatic catch.

Exactly. I still fish all the ways I did before but now I have an extra tool when searching. It is frustrating when you see the fish and they won't react to anything you throw at then but it's fun at the same time

So you still go out and throw swim jigs, chatterbaits.. spinnerbaits and flippin jigs? Or has the assortment of baits decreased quite a bit now that you use livescope?

Yeh I bet it is really cool! But have you noticed that after getting it, you are putting more bass in the boat? Does it translate to catching more bass or just seeing more structure and slowing you down? I know that sounds harsh but just trying to get a grasp on if it actually helps or what. I know it could never hurt to be able to see the contours and structure/cover better...but I'm just curious if the actual numbers have increased due to it. Thanks

Livescope….If you’re a bank beater, then NO, it won’t help you a bit. If you fish offshore, brushpiles, bridge pylons, open water, then YES, it will help you catch more fish. If you’re gonna buy a livescope, then you better do it by Dec 31st or you lose out in the $200 rebate.

Spot-Lock has changed bass fishing for all that can afford it, shallow or deep.
