The picture was taken by a guide in South Texas, the whole lake is not like that. I covered miles of shallow water in this lake and never saw any beds. And it’s a lot warmer down here than up in North Texas. Water temps are 63-68.

All you need is swim jigs and the spawning DDs jump in the boat, but make sure you don’t use a trailer on your jig.

That’s right, these here South Texas bass’s don’t like their swim jigs dirty. These here, like their jigs to be heavenly Devine, doesn’t hurt if the jig can speak a little español too.

It has moments of greatness, but there’s a reason why very few tournaments are held down South. These lakes can’t handle the pressure like the East Texas lakes seem too. If we could ever get some consistent rainfall, we would have something special. Unfortunately it never happens.
